Running everyday would yield much better results for ab definition than 100 sit ups a day

playing soccer all i did was run, then in like a month it was like what up 8 pack. see sit ups just work the muscle,
everyone really has a six pack
a six pack is the shape of the muscle, its the same for every1
the reason you dont see it is the fat over it. so making the muscle stronger isnt the best idea, its removing the fat.

if you keeping strengthing the abs and not reducing fat, youll get whats called a turtle shell. a rock hard belly, that may even resemble a six pack but it sticks out and doesnt really look that good. the key is to melt off the fat.

Its true body fat% is the most important factor. As for sit ups, I learned the hard way the best things for abs is rotational work. Full contact twists> any amount of situps.

            6 pack

Doing sit-ups will definitly help you get a six pack but as has already been said a low body fat percentage is also needed so the six pack shows.

If you can only do 50 sit-ups at the minute then that doesn't matter, if you build up your abdominal workouts slowly then your abdominals will get bigger and more defined. If your abs get bigger and you get down to a low body fat percentage then you will get a six pack no problem. Just got to keep working out and stay focused.

running and sit-ups account for about 40%.....the rest is diet, diet, diet.....you need to get your body fat down to under 8%.........

What if my body fat is low. Is what he said (100) good enough if I wanted a 6 pack?

I personally don't think that diet is all that important as long as you eat sensibly and don't eat too many calories. If you do enough exercise then your body fat will be low.

50 sit-ups won't get you a six pack but it's a start, if you build up the amount you do slowly you will be doing lots in no time. Aim to be doing 1000-2000 crunches/sit-ups a day. That's my target in the long run, I'm like you trying to get defined abdominals and could only do about 50 crunches when I started, now I'm on 3-5 sets of 100 a day and starting to see the changes. I still need to lower my body fat percentage but I'm getting their and my stomach is definitly looking more toned.
