i think this is true, when cus damato was alive, bite tython never lifted weights, cus had bite do plyometrics and bite's speed was amazing. when bite got out of jail he just lifted weights and he was bigger and heavier but never had the speed ( or the skills) again

a guy in the gym I was in said he sticks with what he called "the fundamental four" bench press, squats, dead lift, and military press in front. the way he pitched it sounded logical but im not smart about weight training so i wasn't comfortable just yet thought I'd solicit some inputs here first.
Sure bro well first off, I'm about 5'6 140 before the gym 136 after. After my couple of hours of training is over, I head for the wieghts. Usually 3 sets of 8 with 25lbs curls, bench press 3 sets of 8-10 with 145-150. Every friday I take the 5lbs wieghts and curl/butterfly them 50 times as fast as possible. That way you get the physic with the speed! When I first entered my gym, everyone was saying "Man, you trying to be a body builder or a fighter" now guess what, the majority of them are lifting wieghts lmfao. To each his own, they say technique and skill creates power but ****. A little muscle behind the technique aint never hurt nobody.....

well not the person on the giving end....

Lifting weights correctly won't slow you down bodybuilding definatly does! Jeff Lacy looked too bulky for his natural frame!

I think thats lacys problem, he's got to much muscle for his frame.
when you see him in a shirt he looks real small compared to most smw.
If you stood lacy next to kessler he'd look a few weight classes below him.
