12 oz. vs. 14 oz. Gloves

I plan to pick up a new pair of boxing gloves within the next week, and I'm stuck between 12 oz. and 14 oz. Everlast Hook/Loop gloves. Which size of gloves are better well-rounded for shadow boxing, heavy bag, and sparring?

    Thanks in advance.

i wouldn't be best pleased sparring you with 12oz gloves on.

I'd prefer you wear something more heavy and padded.

I use 12s for everything but sparring, thats where the 16s come in

I dont even think I've seen pros spar with 10oz, not a very good idea
unless your actually trying to hurt your opponent

Ive unintentionally hurt people with 12s, will never use them again for sparring, I'm still really confused why you guys use 10s - ya'll must be some mini flyweights.. jokes.. :P
