You're getting some great experience in these fights... You looked a bit nervous like you said which is understandable because the guy looked very fast and he was definitely doing some things to throw you off. Was he talking trash before the fight? I think you had the right idea to jump on him more aggressively and keep pressuring him if you fight again. Even if he keeps eluding you you could probably win rounds if you keep throwing. I thought you might have won that first round.

I know its hard to walk in punching against someone that quick, but I think a lot of pressure and maybe a bit of bullying on your part would have given you a better chance. He looked like he got a lot of confidence from seeing you nervous.

Were you mad about that stoppage or did you think it was reasonable?

ya that guy was a crafty boxer. good footwork... sometimes the only way to beat guys like that in amatuers is to stop walking in, and let them come to you. cuz walking in is what his style wants. he wants guys to walk in so he can be on his toes and dance and throw pitter patter shots with like half power.. its a great stratagy, but it can be beaten.

Nah he didn't talk trask before the fight but he did backflips after the fight in the ring with me still there. Yeah i thought I probably had the 1st round as well because he ran so much. But that's that. My uncle (who used to be an amateur and is now a pro ref) told me the guy was setting traps for me and I was falling for all of 'em. Usually I am not so nervous about fights. It's weird. There have been a few times where I have just been really calm. Even before this fight started I was nervous.

I thought the stoppage was ok. I was flustered and probably wasn't ready to fight the dog fight I needed to to win anyway. Althought I was planning on getting up at 8 or 9...instead I never got the chance.

I sat with my head straight up when he attacked instead of moving quickly laterally out of the way. Next time I think I will be quicker to step out when he charges straight in out of nowhere. I'm not terribly slow myself...he just moves his feet a lot and sets traps.

Yeah... I'm not sure I saw all the traps but it looked like you would hesitate and look when he did something rather than just coming with your attack. You did look quick too but that kind of tension slows you down and makes you more reactive. You seemed to have some hesitation/ concern about missing too, which is understandable against an elusive fighter but also slows you down.

Thats lame about the backflips but oh well. Just out of curiousity do you know the records of this guy and the last guy you fought?

u look good, good form on ur punches, but u def looked nervous. u looked a little tight and sometimes gunshy. from the vid, at some points it looked like u were flat footed and jus plodding around following the guy. maybe thats ur style i dono, but thats wut i saw. its all good tho man everyone loses in the AMs. take it as it is and come back stronger. u look like a good fighter though dude, props...

kinda off topic, but i really don't like how that other kid was fighting. i mean, he won, i can't be too critical, but the ams should be a place where you practice and work on your form and technique. that kid has quick hands for sure, but someone is gonna catch him somewhere along the lines.

i haven't had my first fight yet (hopefully soon). what do you some of you cats who've been fighting ams awhile think?

take this loss in stride, man. he was akward and switched up his style on you. no problem. next time you'll be ready for something like this.

I think he will keep fighting that way until someone brings him down. But he does hit hard and sharp. Maybe in the future I will be the man to bring him down.

I gotta get mean as ****.
