        a few things..

as soon as you wake up, its not good to train hard.. a light jog is good.. speeds up the metabolism..

eat ever 3 hrs.. even be4 bed.. ur body is in fat burning mode when you eat healthy often.. boosts the metabolism

nutrition helps tho dacatas.. like, im thin regaurdless.. about a buck fifty, but wen i eat healthy throughout the day.. like eating apples and stuff, or carrots.. i feel so much more energetic than if i were to eat like ****ty snacks like cookies or chips.. u kno. thats my take.. ive never followed a strict diet..

i eat a big breakfast a 7 am. a healthy lunch at about noon if i'm going to be at the gym between 3-7. if i'm going to a boxing class (5 & 8 on weds and mondays) then i'll comeback and eat a big dinner between them.

i'm a health NUT. i haven't had fast food in a long time. haven't had a real candy bar in probably a year.. it sucks. but it's actually easy for me. so, why not? it gives you SUCH an advantage in training, honestly, eating right. if you have the right fuel then you have the right tools.

i'm sittin at a fit 180/6'5"-ish right now.

I'd advise not to eat for at least 2 hours before you go to bed. Also I'd like to stress some advise someone else shared in the previous page: Divide your meals into smaller portions to keep your metabolism going and not store all the carbs and fats. You can only burn so much, and even just an hour between the divided meals is enough (unless you spend that time behind the computer).

I was 165 two months ago, with approx. 6 percent body fat and that was the heaviest I'd ever been. Being 5'11" and usually walking around at a big 152 (people often think I'm 168), my body was more sluggish and even though I had a significant increase in power I knew I'd done something wrong. The reason was eating whatever I liked, whether it was oatmeal or a bucket of KFC, I ate whenever I wanted. After not working out for 6 weeks I decided to trim down to get a leaner more agile body, while allowing myself to get more speed without sacrificing power. Being 160 at the time I started eating healthy (tuna, oatmeal, lots of fruits and juices, pasta for dinner) and I didn't lose a pound while trimming down rapidly and only improving on my training.

My point is, hard work+healthy meals will get you a lot farther a lot faster

considering i'm going to be fighting at 175, yeah, it's not too bad.
