The only way that you are going to get any reaction time, to say, is to spar-spar-spar and then spar somemore.
You wanna see the openings and then touch them, spar.
You wanna see the shots coming and with out even thinking about it slip out iof the way, then spar some more.
Its all about getting your eyes attuned to things coming at you, you ranger of the shots and so much more.
I slip shots when I dont even see them, I just know that they should be coming.
When slipping under a shot you can see the opponents hips and feet and they all cue you into whats happening, even though you dont see it.
Reaction time is about getting the eyes to see it and recognize it..............Rockin'

I think the floor 2 celling ball will work to a certain degree but i believe it mainly comes down to natural ability. I saw this because look at roy jones no matter how hard you train you could never react like him, then look at another world champion like cotto for instance, he cant get out the way of **** and gets hit with everyshot his opponent throws, but hey he's a world champion and it hasn't done anything to harm him.
So keep training it but dont be upset if you cant react to your desired level.

Your reaction times are set in stone. They will appear to get better as you spar more simply because you think less and react more, but your reaction times are not something you can improve. Its like trying to increase your IQ, its just not going to happen.
Its a function of the neurological makeup that you were born with.

The aus cricket team trains their reaction times with a big board of lights where one will flash and you have to hit it, so yes it can be trained, but only to a certain extent. Also people who play fast paced (first person shooter sort of games) computer games have been shown to have quicker reflexes than those who don't. Although i don't know if that will improve your boxing.

Also asking your trainer to go quick with you on the mitts and play offense and defense, that way you can work on your reaction times alot quicker.Once you get hit hard enough in the head with the mitts, you'll react alot quicker. I mean some fast offensive punches from your trainer, and for him not to tell you when he throws them.Even when on the mitts I get really hyper and over exaggerate everything, so Im used to exploding with my defense.
The faster you react with you exploding with defense. The faster you can counter the ****er and they wont even see it.
