Jab problems

    I had that problem when I extended my jab too much. I was told to do it,but now I got used to it,and I can use my jab as a power punch now.I think you just gotta work threw it.It can benefit you if you over come it.It did for me.

      Yeah, I got that happening to me a lot when I started boxing. Most people do. Warming up properly is the key.

      After you've been boxing for a little while longer you won't get that anymore. Your muscles are just getting used to this new hyperextending motion that happens when jabbing.

      Until it heals up, try to spend more time hitting the heavy bag and less time shadowboxing. If you hit the heavybag your arm won't extend quite as fully and the punch will recoil off the bag so the arm doesn't hyperextend as much.
