  • Interval Sprints! Any suggestions?

    I've now started doing sprints as part of my training regime. I'm basically jogging for half a mile then I do 8 x 100 metre sprints. I'm hoping to build this up over the next few weeks. Anyone got any suggestions for other types of interval sprints? It would especially help to hear any routines from any fellow super heavyweights out there! Cheers.

    I also do the 8 * 100 metres sprints, also try throwing in 4 or 6*400 metres aswell

        try 1x 800m, 2x 400m, 3x 200m, 5x 100m & 10x 50m. Throw up & crawl home.

            i like it!! i do something very very similar to this, except at the end of all the sprints, i do 3 sets of 600m sprints except i either do backwards sprinting or sideways sprinting, good for coordination and explosive foot speed.

              I think playing full court basketball is great for boxing. All the running doing intense bursts up the court. Also the jumping for rebounds and shooting great for calves. Its good for coordination and footwork. Most important you are running intensely and it does not feel like work. Just my 2 cents. How is training going stranger? I am down to 215. My only downfall is a bit a drinking on weekends has slowed my stamina and cardio. UGH. I need to step it up.

                12 Burpees
                24 Push Ups
                36 Squats
                400 Meters Run

                Repeat 4 times! No rest!

                or:

                10 Burpees
                50 Meters Sprint
                15 Clap Push Ups
                Then run back to starting line

                Repeat all as many times as possible in 15 minutes! No rest!

                    20 seconds joggin...hard
                    20 seconds runnin hardER
                    20 seconds sprinting 110% like you got a pitbull after your ass

                    10x 50 meters ALLOUT Sprints (speedwork)

                    track 400 meters

                    sprint the 100 meters the curves jog em'
                    the 100 meter explode n sprint em curves jog them 12 times
