    Yeah definitley but you gotta work with whats already there and Tyson was a naturally stockily built kid so he developed into a big guy.
    I read somewhere that Tyson could press bench 300lbs when he was 15 years old that shows the kind of natural strength he had.

      so besides a heavy bag and weights , what else can get your punch stronger?

        Just practise throwing them alot, accuracy puts alot of power into punches and sharpness does remember to bring your hands back to protect you as fast as you throw them out too.
        Fast accurate combinations are the key to effective punching.

                  I'd a dove into this thread and posted 2-3 pages of **** a while back, but the damn topic is like a chronic disease that won't go away. The fact is weights = slower in performance. Big myth and totaly false. I leave you with one thing to compare. Every single Olympic sprinter lifts weights. Every football player even Johnson who just yesterday beat a horse in a race, lifts weights. Despite the ****** rumors already stated in this thread Tyson used weights My own eyes saw this. The most POWERFUL athletes in the world are who??
                  well amongst the tops are none other than Olympic weight lifters. The moral of the story is kids training like a body builder is for show not performance. However using weights to enhance what makes your body move (muscles) leads to the opposite of what you boys are saying. In fact your speed will INCREASE if weights are used properly.

                      I think it may depend if you're lifting them slowly or quickly (plyometrics)
