hey guys, i had a quick question...why does lifting weights make you slower...is it the fact that you're gaining more weight or something else?

No I dont think it makes you slower, as long as you keep training with punches you shouldnt lose speed.

I think tension plays a big part in slowing you down too, if your muscles are tensed up you'll use more energy using them.

so then i have 2 more questions...could you get big off of bodyweight exercises if you ate enough and if you HAD to lift weights, what would be the correct way of doing it?

Yeah body weight exercises will get you ripped and fairly big but not body bulding big. If you wanna bulk up use heavyweights and do low amount of reps if you wanna tone up and build lean muscles lift lighter weights and do lots of reps.
