You will never be succesful with that kind of mentality. I have to admit, I am like that myself but I try my very best not to think like that. Its just normal though. Most people are like that. Thats why only few people are succesful with it

If you don't allow that perforation to heal properly, you will be deaf for the rest of your life in that ear, long after you have forgotten about what you were doing right now....

        Well done fraidycat,

Your posts continue to inspire me.
Also being in my 30's it's good to see other guys in my age bracket giving it a go and doing well.
I have also had the same thoughts when I go down to the gym. I get there and hit the bags and watch other guys spar and think "why am i doing this" then I get my gear on and think "I really am nuts" Then I get in and think "oh ****". Then when I get out I look and think "I want to do that agin".
I am not looking to compete in anything serious like you want to. I am just looking to maybe get good enough to do the inhouse comps we have.

I can't wait to see the Video

OK, so my father-in-law only got a few 30-second clips on his camera phone. Here's what he sent me. Flame away, but creative criticism will also be appreciated.

On review, I can see immediately that I need to quit leaning and relax. Man, I look scared in the videos. I think I loosened up later in the fight.

I will see if I can get the entire fight from someone.

                Well done mate.

Looks like you got a little tired at the end, those punches were getting slower.
To me you had a great block. he wasn't getting much through.
The only thing I can see was when you got tired you droped your punches and were slow to get your guard up.
But I am no expert and I do the same thing.

                Great job.
I hope one day I can get somthing of me up for all to see.

Which was you? I think mixing the punches up a little would have helped either fighter... didn't see any body work or hooks... maybe you were limited during those clips though?

                    Cong**** for getting out there.

Our punches were limited to straights; my understanding was, he was nursing a rib injury. I am in the red headgear.
