Or you could take my approach and just lots of pull-ups.. push-ups.. and running.

Impressive Domain.. you gave a serious answer. and sounded very educated in doing so.

In order to build muscle, you need to consume more calories than you burn, consequently, this is also the same way you get fat.

You might be able to put on 4lb of muscle in 4 months, but not 6 weeks. If it was that easy, body builders wouldnt spend a life time getting as big as they are.
the common misconception is you have to bulk to get big and then cut away all the fat...but you can train and stay lean and put on muscle but it takes more discipline you have to know when to time your carbs as well.

i said if he was a mesomorph he could your ****** man did you know if the person has the right diet and training they can put 1 pound of muscle on a week? They call these new gains and then you hit that plateau then thats when some people add supps and roids in the mix to go past there genetic potential.

      depending on there genetics.

if he was an endomorph it would be mostly fat...i never said it was easy man but it takes discipline.

you CAN gain lean muscle, it just won't be easy and it takes a good deal of time, but you can. In McAlister case, he need to burn fat more so than gain muscle. I just suggest doing a bit of weights after the practice and eat lean(wholegrain products, fish and chicken). I mean creating a routine that fits you would be hard, but if you are looking for the beach body look(all of us do at this moment) then burning fat is more important then gaining muscle.

Edit: when I meant that you can gain lean muscle, I still meant that you will gain fat and water but to a lesser degree.
