    i personally think its weird to do boxing workouts without a break. i do everything, from stretching to sparring, by rounds, with a 30 second break.

    i want everyone to try that stretch i told you about, it really helps me alot.

      Yeah, you absolutely have to avoid the hard surfaces for a while, stretching and better shoes also help...

      I personally love running on the beach, but these @$$holes around here don't keep the muts on a leash...

        its true even mike tyson never did jump rope 30-40 minutes straight with no stopping these guys are trying to act macho and tough on the net.

        jump rope is tiring as hell its like sprinting almost and you work your whole body...boxers do intervals and jump rope rounds for 30 minutes maybe...with as 60 second break.

        do they have any idea how long 30-40 minutes is? i have yet to see somene go that long with out a break or messing up on the skip.

        you will severly fatigue your body.

          i personally try and stay on pavement as long as possible, but sometimes ill trot on the grass just to give the old calves a break.

            domain u r a puss if u cant skip for 30 minutes!! it isnt any where near as difficult as u make it sound. the reason ur arms get tired is because ur a weak lil b itch that has terrible stamina. iv seen that lame as s video of u attemting to shadowbox u look like a dirty lil crack head with a spasm in his left hand and sh it for brains, u dont throw one real punch in ur **** video.
            u just look like a fuc kin fool. i dont undersatnd y anyone takes u seriousley on here u crackhead.

                One reason you get shin splints is you are doing a lot of work with your calves, running, skipping, etc., which is building up your calves but you are not working out the muscles opposite the calves; the ones that pull your foot up. The differences in muscle size is pulling the ones in front of your shin away from it, causing the pain.

                Its hard to explain how to help this, but basically you have to work out the muscle that isn't getting worked out. Hold your heel with one hand and the top of your foot in the other. Slowly pull your foot up as far as it goes and let it back down. Do maybe 2 or 3 sets of 10. Put enough pressure on it so you feel like your actually working the muscle good. Its hard to explain without showing you how to do it. You can also do the same but instead of bringing your foot up, push it inside for a set and then outside.

                  another exercise is a reverse calf raise, either on a machine or bodyweight. on a calf raise machine (my preferred method) just stand backwards of a normal calf raise, and stand on ur heels, and have ur shoulders on the pads they normally go on, jus backwards, and raise ur toes up and down, like ur doin a heel raise and it will work the front of ur leg (tibia i think its called) arnold did this exercise to have more rounded lower legs. i do it sometimes and it strengthens the front of the lower leg. i havent done them in a while cuz i kinda forgot about em, but now that i remember, i'm gonna start again cuz the splints BLOW!

                    I used to get em bad when I was into weightlifting and I weighed over 250 pounds. As soon as I lost a few pounds the pain subsided.

                      listen u crack head rapper wannabe i jump rope for 15 minutes straight cus im out of shape. when my weight comes down il be able to do it for half an hour easy like i used to u dirty fuc ker.

                      plain and simple i could kill u with my bare hands! not beat u up, not knock u out.
