    Question about working out middle body..

    Ok so I have been doing a lot of sit ups and I'm starting to see results my abs are starting to get real defined but I had a question how do you work out the sides of your torso.. I dunno what its called so I heres a pic its Labeled 1.

    Also do you guys have any tips on working the upper side of your chest... (2) I've been doing a lot of inclined push ups..will that help? Please give me some fead back...thank you!

    turn to the sides whan you do your situpps and crunches also dumbell sidebend.

        those incline situps will help that area of the chest.
        Also, whenever people bring up the whole training thing, the answer:
        the heavy bag
        The heavy bag helps work nearly every muscle you need, at least for punching, and as long as you practise proper form and movment around it, it will make a great work out. Personally, I go at least 6 rounds on it every day, at least.

            lateral planks are good for toning the obliques. I personally also have trouble finding specific exercises to isolate them, and develop strength/power.

                  i have been doing those dumbell side bends for about a week or so after reading this thread, and i can see a big difference in the fat % of that area, i also feel much stronger around the waist. thanks for the advice leff.

                    A follow up question here. I heard that doing dumbbell side bends builts muscle in the area that is usless and (not sure about this part) never goes away. Anyone have any info on this?
