Question about working out middle body..

    i'm not sure about that, but logically thinking, they help cut out your "love handles" if u have them, and they are probobally pretty good for boxers, since it would tighten up those muscles so you can take more body shots. but thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

        That what i thought, but one day at boxing the trainner told me that they're usless muscles to have. thats why i thought i'd ask. cheers

            Btw i should have mentioned, when i say useless i mean is it useless have big muscles there. I can see the point in having muscles there but not big ones, if u know what i mean.

              You can't make those muscles big. They're like sheaths of muscle over your organs. The obliques shield your kidneys and liver against hooks, and help you slip, weave, throw uppercuts and close hooks, and you'll need 'em to break clinches. They don't get big, and all muscle goes away if you don't use it. Work 'em.

                I'm not to sure but swimming might help ya out. Just try diffrent strokes and see what makes you feel the burn on those muscles.
