Anyone else do this when sparring?

    Thats why I mentioned sparring. This thought process happens when going at a slower pace and focusing on practicing technique. Thats when you have time to think and execute the technique in hopes it becomes innate in the future. Don't recall ever using that train of thought in a competition though. By that time its more instinctual and the pace is so much faster.

    But the dejavu part is something that can't be helped. Its something that comes out of nowhere. For instance if you find yourself having someone on the ropes and are tee-ing off on them, then maybe a vision of DeLaHoya-Vargas will pop in to your head.

    I think this kind of thing probably happens to all athletes at certain times.
