Well, Baldomir had a huge year; but was dominated by Mayweather, so I truthfully can't see him doing it.

Mayweather? Maybe; but Judah was coming off a loss and everyone expected him to beat Baldomir, so it's a weak case IMO.

Hopkins had that huge upset over Tarver, if you'll remember; and he's retiring, so this is his last chance to be "fighter of the year", so he could get the sympathy vote.

Calzaghe did unify two of the SMW belts; and his domination was a huge surprise to just about everyone.

Those, I would think, would be the nominees.

I think under the circumstances, they'd engineer for Floyd, which has the whiff of Boxrec Bull****, but I'd ride with that.

What about Little Klit? In the running?

It would be funny if they DID give it to Joe Blow, just so NSB can be pissed off two years running.

I'll tell you another candidate, should Pac lose......Wladimir Klitschko.

He has brought some apparent stability back to the heavyweights; and publicizing this would be something positive for the big boy division.

Remember, this is a political entity.

Let him unify, then we can start talking about fighter of the year or whatever.
He has currently only beaten one good fighter in his prime, which was Byrd back in 2000. It may seem like I don't like this guy, but that's not the case, I just think his fans go overboard at times.

But that was even before you joined....
But do read through that thread as most everyone agrees that Tszyu was #2, or #3 at most

it's just something I've noticed nearly every British poster on here doing, trashing our president like ******* crybabies
