So... Fighter of the Year 2006?

Well Baldi just blew his chance, didn't he?

I guess that makes it a "FOTY by default". Pac beating Morales twice and Larios should make him a candidate for it, though it's by no means certain he'll beat Morales again (I know, it's highly likely, but you never can tell...) Besides, if he does so again but less convincingly (say, a SD following the KO) will it diminish what he achieved in February? Probably not, just speculating...

Floyd would probably be a possibility for the Ring, but I don't like to see someone get the title on only two bouts*, especially when one of them was against Baldi, God love him.

Who else? Well, I suppose Little Klit did grab the #1 spot in the heavies and beat an undefeated prospect, but both of those seem like BoxRec confidence tricks rather than anything more solid. Joe Blow pissed his momentum down the drain... I dunno. Not a lot of choice is there, really? It's got to be Pac, ain't it?

    * Watch DiegoFuego quote/refer to this part of the thread and use it to slate Hatton winning it last year... predictable as ****, you watch...

Either Pac of FLoyd by default.
        No real standout this year.

Certainly the best choice is Pac as far as I am concerned. He will stop Morales again this weekend, take that to the bank. I have a fight also that day so I probably won't get to see it. I'll have to catch the replay.

Don't forget about Ouma. If he beats Taylor then he is a candidate.

It'll probably be Manny Pacquiao, as long as he wins Saturday.

Baldomir deserves that. He was an underdog in 2 fights and he shocked the boxing world.

He gets this fight fans vote!

Manny Pacquiao, he's about to record his second win over Morales and also dominated Oscar Larios.
