What's with the "all"? Only ONE person said that Calzaghe should be fighter of the year 2006 - ONE.
You really ought to shut your ****ing mouth with this "homers" ****, little boy, it's getting old, FAST, especially when you're one of the biggest homers on this site. Why don't you try not acting like a **** for a change and have a civil discussion instead?
This thread is actually about FIGHTER OF THE YEAR 2006... as predicted in hidden text in my VERY FIRST POST, you've turned it into yet another "Taylor was robbed last year" threads. Give it a rest.Comment

you're full of British ****. there is no way on Earth Bert Sugar has ever had anyone p4p #1 in his life (probably even now) who wasn't named Roy Jones Jr. or Bernard Hopkins so I'm calling your bull**** on that one.Comment

This year: Manny Pacquiao if he wins this weekend.
Last year's Fighter of the Year was Ricky Hatton; recognized by The Ring, and by anyone who is unbiased in a judging regard. Taylor barely beat Hopkins twice.....BARELY; and the arguement can be made that he lost both contests. Personally, I had him squeaking a decision in the first and drawing in the second; but the fact is he didn't dominte Bernard Hopkins. The other top fighter going into the year besides Hopkins, was Kostya Tszyu; at least he was close in ranking being the real Jr. Welterweight Champ.....and Hatton stopped him, as well as the WBA title holder, who had just stopped Vince Phillips.
So, one man dominates the legitimate Jr. Welterweight Champion, who is an ATG and one man squeaks by on two somewhat controversial decisions over the real Middlweight Champion and another ATG.
It's a no-brainer; the nod goes to Hatton.Comment

Taylor didn't dominate Hopkins or even beat him convincingly in two tries. So, NO....he wasn't as impressive as Hatton last year and didn't deserve FTY honors.Comment
