ever since i saw oscar vs. tito ive been a die hard oscar hater.....i can go on and on about how his fights were hand picked and so on....how a mexican fighter DOES NOT RUN....me being mexican took that loss like an insult from him.....but since it was announced that oscar would take on floyd here in dallas, tx. its creating sort of a racial barrier.....floyd being black has all my patnas saying that blacks have always beaten the mexican....they bring up hop vs. oscar.....whitaker vs. chavez....of course i always bring up chavez vs. taylor but man as much as i hate oscar im beginning to feel like i might just pull for oscar to whup floyd to shut these fools up....i know all the pretty boy fans out there are quick to bring up him being p4p #1 but come on oscar's comp is way better than floyd....the one time im actually going to pull for oscar i feel like he is no underdog....no way is oscar the underdog....he's the true junior middleweight i realize that....oscar should win....and i hope he does but if floyd is to show his greatness here is his opportunity...against the golden boy.....man im hyped about this fight more than i thought i would be.....anyways WAR MORALES!!!!!!

dawg ur tripping, oscar landed more and out boxed tito in that fight. in my opinion he won. i had him winning most the rounds other than the last 3 or 4 when his corner told him to stay away. boxing isnt just about brawling and trading punches. and saying mexicans dont do this and shouldnt do that is ignorant cus your stereotyping your own people. thats like saying mexicans should stick to mowing lawns and they were boots n sombreros. because your black, mexican, etc doesnt mean u have to act a certain way. n no the black man doesnt always win but if thats what your "patnas" wanna believe then thats theyre dumbass opinion.

I'd like to know who you believe are the hand picked opponents of De La Hoya??? Especially in light of the fact that you realise that the competition of Oscars is better than Mayweathers.
There aren't many who appreciated the tactics employed by De La Hoya in the closing rounds of the Trinidad fight, but IMO he had the fight won prior to those rounds. Didn't another great Mexican fighter, Marco Antonio Barrera, employ different tactics than what we came to expect from him against Naseem Hamed?

It took him 4 rounds to adjust, I don't remember Zab taking the fight to Floyd. I remember Floyd backing Zab up the whole fight. 6 rounds is the guy crazy!!

i agree, and if you watch the fight more in depth like i have many times, zab landed one good left hand in the 4th, and the rest didn't even land cleanly or at all. in the 2nd, floyd almost dropped zab when he countered over his jab with a vicious jab of his own. yes, zab should have got the knckdown, but floyd recovered very quick after he was stumbled. and, i gave the 3rd round to floyd. they both landed 13 out of 22 punches. floyd looked more active than zab in the 3rd round also. the only thing people seem to remember about that round though is thta zab almost hit floyd with a hook, but floyd was off balance and still dodged his punch, he has such great awareness in the ring man. the rest of the fight, zab looked out of it, from floyd's body punches. many people on here need to go back and rewatch the fight, and then post their arguments. floyd did have zab backing up a lot except when zab threw a wild punch out of desperation. floyd broke his ass down with bodyshots, and a vicious counter bodyshot in the 5th i believe. he threw it perfectly at the right time, and zab felt it because floyd hit the back of his ribs. i was like jesus christ that's going to slow him down, and it did. after the bodyshot, zab just broke down mentally.
