Not really. Mayweather's been around for 10 years, and Oscar has been very inactive in recent years.

Maybe its just me,but Id love to see a Cotto-De La Hoya fight. My two favorite active boxers, thatd be a dream match.
      Lol, yeah your probably right.

      ----

Yeah it would be cool, but Cotto has to step up to the plate first and become a major player.

I'd probably even rate him over Duran if he beat Mayweather skill for skill!

After he losses to Floyd, he will only fight because he wants to go out with a win.

I agree. I'm sure everyone wants to go out somewhat on top.

It will be at 154 for De La Hoya's WBC light middleweight title, and Oscar says it will either be in LA at the Staples Center or at the MGM Grand in Vegas (talk about site fee negotiations, whoever wins the bid to host this fight will get their investment back BIG time).

If Winky beats Quartey and then perhaps wins a 154-lb. belt (Cory Spinks, anyone?) and Oscar beats Floyd, Oscar-Winky becomes marketable and incredibly appetizing to the hardcore audience. Oscar's resume would become the best ever and it would be for the undisputed 154-lb. championship. Win-win-win. Great call.

edit: Winky wouldn't have to win a 154-lb. belt for it to be for the undisputed 154 lb. title, he's still the champ at that weight, but I just think it makes it even bigger.

I dont think Winky could make 154(but for this he fight he might.)

BUT oscar wants no part of the winky style. Thats fight will never happen.
