Yeah, I like that book a lot. I bought it once for $1 (!) at a used bookstore and it was one of the better dollars I've spent. I haven't read it in years but the first year I had it I read it something three times. It gets very interesting and sad when you reach the Holmes fight and the struggle to keep Ali as a viable fighter.

the two best ive read are 'the gloves' by robert anasi and 'the sweet science' by joe leibling. nothing tops a good bit of Liebling. the lennox bio 'mamas boy' was a good read too, although i must say i agree wholeheartedly about j.c oates i never quite understood why people rate her so highly

"BEYOND GLORY"

fromt he library.

Its about the Louis Shmelling fights. I already knew a lot about the fights, but after reading under 50 pages I have easily doubled my knowledge about the fights.

Very well written, incredibly informative, and a topic thats very interesting

For anybody that cares, Thomas Hauser recommended to me "Mark Twain
Remembers". He said "It's a novel about Mark Twain, slavery, and boxing." He says it's the best book he's ever read. Works for me
