How would Tua have done against a prime Tyson?

tyson had enormous power and hit very often.....he would overwhelm tua badly.
of course tua would of had a chance of catching him but its a slim chance.......Comment

i used the fact that tua never held a title to highlight the fact that he isnt in the same league as tyson........
we have a verygood almost been v's a brilliant undisputed champion
im not tryingt to disrespect tua.........but i dont think he was anywhere near the level that a prime tyson was........Comment

okay understand but A LOT of great boxers never won a title some never even had a chance and it becomes to easy to call them not on the 'level'. But being that Tua has been very pop and well seen I understand and agree with your point .i used the fact that tua never held a title to highlight the fact that he isnt in the same league as tyson........

tua had more power but every other advantage is tysons, i find it hard to believe tua would be able to land a good punch on a rpime tyson

No chance. Tua has one of the best beards in heavyweight division history. there was the hundreds of shots he took from Ike, the shots he took from Lennox etc. Most of the time, he didn't even appear hurt. Tyson was certainly the better boxer, but Tua wouldn't have been scared, he would have took Tyson's punches and threw some of his own.
Lets not forget, Tyson was an attackting fighter, not a Lewis or Byrd. Tua would have been a very tough fight for Tyson IMO.
Tua is not hyped as far as power, chin or heart go, he just cannot deal with very good boxers, mobile guys, or good jabbers like a Rahman. Tyson would need to change his style to win easy, but would Tyson change his style? Seems unlikely.Comment

If we are talking the "young" Tyson, then he walks through Tua and hands him his first ever peek into the world of the unconcious. And I mean real quick, within a round or 2 at most. Tua would duck right into the most powerful uppercut that the division has ever seen and that would be that - good night.
Now if you are talking about the "post Robin Givens" Tyson, then we have an entirely different scenario, Tyson no longer had the desire or the will to attack like it was a life or death match, and most likely Tua would have a chance to take Tyson into the later rounds.
At that point, the reason why Tyson is NOT an ALL TIME GREAT would show. You see my friends, Tyson has never been special after the 5th Round, he just never had the ability to think and fight after he got tired. Sad but true. Tua would have a better chance as the fight went on...Comment
