This fight would resemble Leonard-Benitez with the same result, a Leonard win. Ray Leonard was multi-dimensional as a fighter, an excellent improvisationalist, as fast, if not faster than Mayweather, hit harder than Mayweather, and was physically stronger than Mayweather.
Floyd's defense is probably a little better than Ray's; but if Ray can beat Floyd's dad when Ray was just a rookie...and Floyd's dad was no slouch, btw....and beat one of the slickest defensive geniuses of all time at Welterweight, Wilfred Benitez, then he's gonna beat Floyd.
It would probably be by decision; but a Leonard knock-out isn't out of the question....if the kayo came, it would be late in the fight and probably dependent upon whether or not this fight is scheduled for 12 or 15 rounds.Comment

leonard started his career @ 147 meanwhile mayweather has moved up serveral times and this isnt his best weight...leonard wins by UD..eventhough i think the GREEN ray leonard that fought duran ..mayweather could beat..but not the leonards that fought hearnsComment

I honestly don't see it being much of a fight, Leonard would be fast, and he would put his punches together if Floyd sat on the ropes, which might not KO Floyd but would win over the crowd and the judges. If Floyd fought in the middle of the ring, for every attempted potshot he'd see 2 or 3 punches coming back, which would make it hard to mount much of an attack. If Floyd wasn't thoroughly intimidated by the late rounds he migh go for it, and if he did he'd probably be dropped or maybe KO'd. As talented as Floyd is, he's still leagues from being a Leonard.Comment
