37 pro fights does not an "all time great" make. Talentwise, yes. Recordwise? HELL NO. He needs to at LEAST hit the Marciano win-loss record at his low weight to be legit. Its like a batter who had a .400 batting average in 50 games, however good that is, comparing himself to Ted Williams who did it in over 150.

definitely an all-time great, no question. if he fights and beats guys like Spinks (154 champ), Mosley, and De La Hoya, he'll definitely finish in the top 5-10 greatest ever

I'm a big fan of his, but right now, I think he's an ass****. To me, he's a coulda been type of fighter. He has all the tools, but he'd rather have the fans respect him for those tools, not for what he's accomplished.

I hope Floyd sees what's in front of him and goes for it, if he beats these guys and wins these titles, he's top 3 of all time:

              1) Spinks (or whoever has 154lb title) to win titles in 5 weight divisions
              2) Mosley
              3) De La Hoya
              4) Taylor (or whoever has 160lb title) to win titles in 6 weight divisions and linear titles nonetheless (aside from 140lb title but Hatton already ducked him so **** the Hitman)

Yeah, to me it's like (not quite, but...) Valuev being, what, 44-0? Granted only two of those are defences and not in multi weights, but you see what I mean. Too much importance is placed on "0"s. If all these guys fought each other, then they'd maybe all lose an "0" apiece.

how can Mayweather not be considered one of the greatest ever? His opposition is as good as anybody else's in the sport aside from Winky Wright (3 losses?), De La Hoya (4 losses), and Mosley (4 losses).

Losses don't mean **** to me, I could care less how many losses someone has (within reason) as long as they're fighting the best available. And I'm talking about the entire history of boxing, not just Wanky Wrong, The Acting Amigo and Artificial Sweetner.
