And you will never see me argue that De La Hoya vs. Mayweather is not the biggest fight that could take place in boxing, it is and it will be one of those fights we'll still be talking about years to come. Regardless of if it happens or not.
Im sorry i aplogize to you for being a ****. im just mad at ODLH for trying to **** a fight up I want to see. That interview pissed me off. Dude acting like he makes people famous and talks all this **** about Floyd and acts like his own **** dont stink. I hope he fights Tito and Tito knocks his ****in head off.

Every Mayweather fan and their mother has a whole bag of reasons why Mayweather shouldn't fight Margarito. It's hilarious.

And I'm not even a big Margarito fan either, so don't say I'm biased because I actually like Mayweather more than Margarito. But to me, here's how it plays out...

If I were the pound-for-pound king of the sport, I was undefeated in my entire career, held every major title I could hold and openly proclaimed to be the greatest. And if word got back to me I was afraid to fight any given opponet, regardless of how much better than him I thought I was, I'd take the fight just to silence my critics.

I'm hoping Floyd will do the same one day.

Oh no problem at all dude, emotions run high in this sport, anybody who loves it can tell you that. And I'm a bit pissed that the fight might not take place either, but you never know for sure. They both could be playing games, because anything can happen in this great sport.

Personally speaking, I appreciate the fact that you engaged in debate with me without being too personal, that's respectable.

On a side note, I think to Oscar it makes more sense to fight Tito, hear me out. He clearly won the first fight and then simply gave it away, you know some **** like that is going to eat at you inside for a long, long time. Also Tito isn't as good as he once was, De La Hoya could dispose of him within 6 I'd say.

So Oscar could avenge a L on his record by beating a relatively easy opponet, and then retire having nothing more to prove and being the apple of the sport's eye. That to me makes much more sense than fighting a guy like Mayweather who's a serious threat and who has a serious chance at one-uping Oscar in the final fight of his career.

There are different ways of understanding a fight as 'big'. When I said Clazaghe-Taylor is a bigger fight, I did not mean it would sell a million PPVs or even be a PPV; I was referring only to its significance for boxing, fot the fighters involved, etc.
Oscar could lose to Floyd without damaging his legacy, and that is proof enough that this is not as big a fight as the one I was talking about.

With that said I voted in a poll two months ago and said Floyd-Oscar was the fight I'd most like to see in 2007. But the talk of it is already tiresome, and there are so many more enticing fights on deck,

How can anyone want to see Floyd, a young lively fighter fight Shane or Oscar who are both old and havent shown a hint of evidence that would suggest that either can hang with Floyd's youthfull step? That is taking a step backwards, not forward. Cotto, Margarito, and Cintron's youth will keep them in the fight with Floyd. I mean Floyd already destroyed a over the hill Gatti, now he just wants to fight an over the hill Oscar and Shane?

I mean isn't Oscar playing rediculous games with Floyd? Floyd should be like "**** Oscar" and forget about him, and move on to not only his age bracket lol, but he should move on to the modern stars of the sport. I mean do the first rounds of the Zab fight where Floyd looked lost and looked like he had no answers have him too shook to fight some fighters who aren't over the hill? I don't get why, with all the ****in talent out there...He's only interested or hinted that he want's Oscar or Shane.

To me the fights pointless there are better fights out there for Floyd to make. This would be an absolutly meaningless fight. Im confused why people even think the dude is a threat or any good at all because he isnt. After the fight Floyd would get hated on again cause he didnt stand and trade because he boxed an moved and Margs slow flat footed ass wouldnt be able to do jack. Bring Cotto, Hatton or Spinks if ODLH dont want it. At least they bring something diff to the table than Cintron and/or Margarito.

You know, you're very right about that. A lot of Mayweather haters would discredit Floyd how he'd fight Margarito, but I wouldn't be one of them. I jsut want to see the fight, regardless of the outcome.

If Mayweather stayed on the outside and did to Margarito what he did to Baldomir, well I don't honestly see how anybody could blame anybody but Margarito for that ****.

All I was is for Margarito to get the opportunity, whether or not he capitalizes on it is an entirely different story. But I don't see how anybody could blame Floyd for how he fights, he's a masterful boxer, you know what you're going to get. It's the other guy's problem to figure out how to get to him.

prolly because oscar or shane will look better on his resume... they accomplished alot more than any of those other guys out there wanting a chance to fight em

Exactly, if Oscar isn't targeting Winky...He should seriously shut the **** up and officially retire. Everyone already saw the boxing exhibition against Trini, all that's left for him is Winky or retirement.
