Neither guy was overly disrespectful IMO. People built this up to be a shout fest or something but it was pretty under control. Nothing like when Toney slapped the mic out of Jim Gray's hand. Now THAT was disrespectful.
It wasnt on my mind plus he hurt his hand and Baldomir didnt bring anything to the table. Is that Floyds fault?

It wasn't Floyd's fault for fighting the fight he did, but when you open your mouth and tell everyone you're better than Robinson, you can't be surprised when people criticizing you for not living up to the talk. Mayweather needs to stop comparing himself to Robinson and just do his talking in the ring. He's bringing this stuff on himself with what he says.

2 wrongs dont make a right. Its not even disrepectful for Floyd to even think he is better than the guys from the past I dont see whats so wrong with that. He feels he is better, so what he has a right too feel that way. He might not get the Job done the same way as SRR but in the end he totaly outclasses his opponents in a one sided manner. The commentators imo had no right whatsoever to belittle him or his performance especially after saying before the fight "This in my mind is Mayweathers biggest test". Dont bash the guy because the other guy didnt bring the fight he was supposed to to the ring. Those guys imo needed to show a little respect for Mayweather. I can understand where you are coming from though I just dont think its right.

I'm not saying it's right to be disrespectful after a fight to a fighter who just put his life on the line for your entertainment, just explaining why I think everyone is getting pissed off with Mayweather.

Mayweather can keep saying he's better than Sugar Ray if he wants, but he'll always take heat for it. That isn't going to stop. Maybe he does it for attention, but then he can't be too surprised when he gets what he's asking for.

TheBlack wallstreet is an idiot, it isn't baldomir fault that the fight was boring (although i didn't find it so boring), Baldomir came to fight it's not his fault if he could not catch mayweather, baldo is a warrior who was willing to fight the best out there. And floyd did what he had to do to win the fight, merchant is disrecpectfull, floyd is not a brawler hes one of the best fighters out there, so you can't really gety the fight of the year. the true fauld is that the HBO promo was announcing a really big fight.
floyd peharps nor Sugar ray robinson but he's a all time great for me even if I was for baldomir, and all the mayweather haters stop hating, when he says hes the best fighter out there it's true.

Mayweather should be judged on his skill, not his mouth. He's the best ever.

Uhhhh.... seems to make sense. Good luck trying to get some of the other guys on this forum to believe that a fighter should be judged on what he does in the ring.

With Naseem Hamed and Ricky Hatton on his record, Mayweather would of been the undisputed best ever. But those would of been tough fights.

Not true at all. Greb and Robinson were head and shoulders over what Mayweather could possibly accomplish. Fighters don't fight enough today to hope to best those records. Let's have Mayweather fight 200 times and see what his win/loss/draw record looks like after that. Then we can compare him to Robinson, Harry Greb, Benny Leonard, etc. Hell, let him fight at least 60 times for a start. It will never happen.
