On the Mayweather-Merchant front, I don't think Floyd was that mad at Larry. He was just mad from all the boxing media, etc. and took it out on Larry. Also, he probably heard every word Manny was saying about him from the 9th round on.

Yeah. I like the guy but on reflection his career did have the whiff of con artist about it. He could have beat the best (probably).. but he chose not to.

That's FOUR opponents out of over 40... what gets boring is people like you reiterating crap about a man who didn't fight the best throughout his career. Talented guy, but never tested himself.

Besides, it's not "BS", it's a subjective opinion, or can't you understand what that is?

do you understand that when you say a fighter fought nobodies, and that fighter fought the 2 best fighters of his generation and other HOFers, it is not OPINION, it is BS since it is contradicted by the FACTS I mentioned above.

the right phrasing is, "I wish Roy Jones Jr. took on more competitive opponentes in this and this occasion"

Thankyou for your patronage I must remember to learn more off you.

Of course, the entire concept of "HOF" is entirely subjective, but there you go. But if you're happy that Roy fought a minimum of "HOF" material (please name them) then good for you.

When you go out there and proclaim yourself to be better than Ray Robinson, who had it all including a knockout punch and the aggressive attitude and offensive skill to use it, you'd better back it up. If Mayweather didn't talk like he did he wouldn't be held to such high standards and would not be criticized. He'd be recognized as what he is, a brilliant defensive fight who's the best of his era.

dont change the cards on the table, I have a list this long of opponents I would have liked Jones to fight (the brits, michael nunn, g-man, dm...).

This has nothing you do with the fact that you stated Roy Jones fought nobodies, I showed you it is bs, bcos he fought toney, hopkins, mccallum, hill.
