I disagree, I feel like we as the fans and the audience are smart enough to know who the champ is regardless of belts (except for the HW division). we all know that Hatton and his team have repeatedly stated that they will be ready next year every year. therefore with the knowledge of that, i feel like he was the man at 140 because the beltholder felt like he needed an extensive amount of time to face him.

But regardless, we still can't place Floyd over Hatton in that division until it gets sorted in a ring, no matter whose responsibility it is for it not happening. People may say Floyd would win, but hypothetical conjecture means nothing.

It does to me, don't get me wrong, i understand what your saying. Floyd has to fight and beat hatton in the ring to justify being the real 140 lb champ. I get that. Im simply saying with all the info that i have gathered, he was the champ in that division based on the circumstances. If Floyd was undeserving or unwilling to fight Hatton at that time, I would agree with you completely.
