I personally think boxing is more dangerous in the long run as it can cause brain damage easier as your head is getting hit more then a broken nose for short term damage in UFC. Either way UFC sucks to begin with and Pride is more entertaining. Still boxing is #1 to me.

Take them to boxing gym . Let them train for 1 day, and the 2nd day make them sparr, then ask them why they can't go 2 complete rounds. Then on the 3rd day ask them if they want to step inside the ring with an amature boxer who has a few fights. After their 1 round of sparring if they last that long, then ask them how real boxing is.

Thing is fighters like Mayweather, Delahoya, make boxing look simple. And to the newbie eye maybe a fighter like Margarito makes them think his punch don't hurt or doesn't know what he's doing.

And to the thread starter, no one has ever declared pacquiao the most exciting boxer. And next time show them Jose Luis Castillo v. Deigo Corrales 1 & 2.

                    there would be UFC fans

and there would be boxing fans

it need not to mean these there would be people who would have to watch both.

in the philippines, a citizen would rather watch a pacquiao fight video than watch the world cup live.

Boxing and UFC had shared the same flaws, some boring fights, of course there is I had to admit, specially when you purchased PPV for some crap.

But Boxing had contributed much more excitement since the beginning of its history.

Since the history of UFC is there any fighter that makes the world stop and watch him fight?
                      no.

But Muhammad Ali did, and lots after him.

I agree on a poster on this thread who said UFC is an alternative to boxing.
Yes I agree definitely. A fighter who did not make his worth in boxing would probably try UFC. Besides, there's no need for gloves.
