My friends are the same way, hate boxing but love UFC, though some other friends love Boxing and think UFC is boring. Its hard to convince people when theyre pretty much set. They say its more realistic fighting and more dangerous. I personally think boxing is more dangerous in the long run as it can cause brain damage easier as your head is getting hit more then a broken nose for short term damage in UFC. Either way UFC sucks to begin with and Pride is more entertaining. Still boxing is #1 to me.

dude it wasnt just my friends! when pacquiao fought morales for the 2nd time no one was watching at this orange county bar i was at and the bar was packed with like 400 people its a huge bar and grill...but when they had the hughes vs penn everyone was glued to it! and you could hear cheering and ohhs and ahhs.

like i said people have had hopes for PACQUIAO being the most exciting fighter right now but if he couldnt even catch the attention of those bar patrons then what makes me think boxing is not dead?

I mean its not dead the real fans like us are still watching it but is it enough for boxing to make money? i don tknow.

Meh hectari can post what he wants, but your threads do sound like whining, at least change the titles to make them not seem so much that way. If anything when Pride because more mainstream it will kill UFC anyhow. Yeah the "preppies" like UFC but its just because they all pretend they can actually fight. >.>

UFC and Pride, although I like them and respect the skills, will always be just a supplement or alternative to boxing. It will never be the other way around. That's like saying that arena football will kill the NFL someday.

Maybe in your hometown there is a BUNCH of "frat BOYS" as you called them who get their panties wet every time someone says UFC.. but I dont think "some" county California is a representation of the world.. IN London you would think NO ONE in the world watches Hockey.. and In Toronto You would think NO one watches Soccer.. does this mean Soccer and Hockey are Killing each other? Of course not..

the reason it was "boring" was because it wasnt live. Boxing is exciting because anything can happen at any time.

When u know whats gonna happen already, and u havent seen the fight live already, there isnt really anything to get excited about...
