I'd disagree with that. It was only because people were unsure of Floyd's ability to deal with his power that they gave Gatti a glimmer of hope.

Even you would have looked half-decent against Gatti that night. He just stood in range and barely tried to throw a thing. And it wasn't all down to Floyd's speed, speed's relative. Gatti went in there absolutely terrified and without any game plan whatsoever. He was even asking a total stranger for advice on fight night!!

      Bull****.
I wish people would stop trying to discredit Floyd.

You put up a hell of an argument but we'll have to agree to differ.

Credit to you though, you usually just go for "pwned" and then run a mile.

          Aaron Pryor, easily.

He's like Ricky Hatton, only better.

you put up a great argument and i do agree with you, many people like to discredit's floyd's wins. but, even they can't deny his sheer skill in the ring and i do believe that he would beat pryor but imo it would be a great fight. pryor was an animal, but floyd's a boxing wizard and is smart as hell in the ring.

              Explain.
I've seen a little footage of Pryor and I couldnt help but notice that he was a slugger...Pretty Boy has a way of stopping sluggers in the tracks..The funny thing about history is that 50 yrs down the line, we will be comparing Pretty Boy to young great fighters of 2060...Pretty Boy is the greatest to ever roam our era and boys just cant except it.....**** his attitude just judge him off of his performances...

Pryor was one of the quickest fighters of his time. Not only can he brawl, he can box beautifully. Perfect example was when his brawling style was figured out by Arguello, Pryor settled into his boxing rythm and took Arguello out.

Their rematch was easier for Pryor.

Pryor is remembered for his "Hawk Time!" but he can also put on his lab coat and execute sweet science as well as any of the great pugilists.
