    Its really sad

Some people talk about the opposition of Roy Jones, the fact is he had beaten 19 World champions and 4 Hall of Famers, its really sad when someone whos on the top of his game for years suddenly loses, and people talk about how rubbish he was, or how rubbish his opposition was. I hope Floyd does'nt lose otherwise people would talk **** about him too.

19 World Champions and 4 HOF's...just remember that. I dont know why people complain about Roy's opposition, and bring some fighters and claim he ducked them, its just ******.

    Bernard Hopkins
    James Toney
    Virgil Hill
    Mike McCallum....end of story

            I hope they dont...

Man Virgil hill won his light heavyweight title from another champion and then defended it 10 Times!!, then lost a close decision, but then won the vacant title again defended it 10 times again! then beat Fabrice Tiozzo, and recently at age 43 hes won a Cruiserweight title, that makes a 4 time world champion with lot of title defences....

RJJ beat a Prime Hill. that was a nasty bodyshot

Any boxing fan knows that McCallum is a HOF, It is strange that u dont remember much about the Body snatcher, McCallum is one of the all time greats and a Hall of famer, he was inducted to the IBHOF in 2003

Roy is an all-time-great, I agree; but he didn't help himself with some of the fights he took.

Regarding Toney and Hopkins...okay, no arguement, though both Roy and Bernard were green when they met. Regarding McCallum and Hill, they were both past their best days. The Hill victory was still impressive because it was a stoppage and Hill had just lost the Light Heavyweight championship to Dariuas Ican'tspellhisnamski.

But, the knock against Jones is somewhat valid because he left room for speculation. He never fought DM, or Michael Nunn, or Chris Eubank, or Nigel Benn so those questions will forever remain open ended.

Also, people like to see a champion tested in the heart department. None of Jones's opponents really tested him until Tarver in the first fight. People like to see their champions dig down and pull it out. Whether it was because Roy was just that good, or because he avoided the toughest fights is up for grabs and one of those questions that will forever will be debated because we never saw him tested, really.

I like Roy but consider him a superior athlete boxer than a true real blood and guts fighter. Whatever though...he had his moment and was great during a period of time.
