He'd be totally overwhelmed by the prime Calzaghe of 10 years ago or five years ago though. He might beat the extremely weakened Calzaghe at 168 these days, but at 175 Joe takes him out. I hope Calzaghe fights Woods next and then gives Kessler a shot at 175, because he's too weakened to fight well at 168 these days.

Btw, Kessler dealt with Cummings and Porras every bit as well as Steve Collins and Carl Froch did respectively.
Brahmer will have to be more focussed if he is going to get a shot at a title. The way he has been fighting recently he will not have any chance againts Calzaghe or Kessler. Remember he recently lost to Veit and has been looking anything but sharp and forcussed in his last couple of fights. He is a great talent but at the moment his head is not in it.

      My thoughts exactly.

As for Froch - absolutely no idea how he'd cope in the top company. He always has the ability to knock someone out, but can look very bad against woeful opposition. He's also not exactly stepped up to fight any of the world class fighters so far either, which for his age is a little worrying.

Naaah. WBA and WBC the far more significant belts.
Kessler should settle for no less than two-thirds.

Otherwise Calzaghe can got feck himself. He is fast on his way into oblivion anyway. He'll have one more fight against a nobody - and then the world will soon forget him.

Who the feck WAS Calzaghe????? - Oh the guy who held a WBO belt and played it safe....

You're an idiot, and clearly setting yourself up for Kessler to price himself out..

The fighter makes the belts, not the other way around.

Everyone else will price themselves out.
Dont count Ashira out of a remtach he undoubtedly learned a lot from their first fight...this one could be real interesting lets hope it can get done!

I will lose respect for Calzaghe if he gives Ashira a rematch..

lol since when was it the belt that made the fighter
its funny i always thought it was skills and record that determined how good a fighter was andf not the belts
