Since when has England been Calzaghe's backyard?? He used to be boo'd out the building every time he fought there.Comment

Kessler's spent 37 fights, or whatever, making Hatton's resume look like Ray Leonard's. The guy's done **** all except beat on a few old fringe contenders and a below average champion looking for a payday on his way out.
Kessler would have zero chance of winning if Calzaghe fought at anything approaching his best, he's too basic. Even 4 or 5 of Calzaghe's victims would take him in their primes. That's why he ran a mile when Warren offered him £1.5m, he's been waiting for Joe to get old. What a ****ing *****.Comment

Mikkel Kessler (38-0, 29 KOS), the WBC/WBA super middleweight champion, said that if Joe Calzaghe (42-0, 31 KOs), the WBO/IBF super middleweight champion, is not willing to come over to his hometown of Denmark to fight him, he will fly over to England to fight Calzaghe in his backyard - if the money is right. [details]
Calzaghe isn't getting any younger. That sloppy performance against Bika showed the whole world that the Pride of Wales is due for retirement. I can understand why Kessler wouldn't be worried about bad judging in England, the fight isn't likely to go the distance!Comment

That's what I was thinking. My English buddies have only nasty things to say about the Welsh; admittedly I've not discovered that to be the case among the Englishmen on this site. I think the English/ British distinction confuses many people outside the UK.Comment
