Calzaghe had superstar potential... does he still?

I hope Wright grows some balls so Joe can knock him out, and I hope he gets Taylor in the ring before Taylor becomes the closest thing to unbeatable in boxing (which he will, trust me).Comment

I think a 'superfight' (and a dominating performance) over Hopkins or someone of his stature in the U.S. would help his case.Comment

That's a Heavyweight record only...Heavyweights don't have weight restrictions, thus making it harderDidn't Micky Duff train Roy Shaw too? I'm sure I heard that name mentioned in his book.. anyway, Calzaghe should be more motivated than ever, as he said, he approaches every fight the same, like it could be his last.
It's really possible for him to beat Joe Louis' record, and Rocky Marciano's undefeated record, but nobody can predict when a fighter will lose his qualities inside the ring due to age, seeing as he's been in the game since a young age, he could be out in the next couple of years or so, but that's just my assumption, and as I said, it's not predictable, and he proved that in his last performance.
For Joe's popularity, he probably could and should of been more popular, but he didn't make it happen...he could still cash in right now and gain a bit more popularity than he has at the moment, but I am not sure he can capture what he should and could have had.
Maybe if he moves up to Heavyweight and captures all 4 belts, that would be something, but I doubt he could do it.Comment

Why rip on a guys ball size when he has moved up one weight division and Joe has not?
But yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing a fight with Joe vs Winky, or Joe vs Taylor.
I also think you may be right with Taylor, he will get better as long as he stays with Emanuel, but I am not sure how good he can get.Comment

Joe can become huge if he can land a fight with Winky or Taylor. Its easier to move up in weight than down. So, if one can move to 168, that would be awesome.Comment
