With all due respect I think you're underestimating how faded a force Roy is, the poor guy. I remember pming S_L saying that Roy should retire for his own safety and even S_L agreed.

I can't believe you don't think Roy was wobbled in the first round against Ajamu. His head was knocked right back over the ropes and he appeared to lose his legs for a split second afterwards. Bearing in mind that not only would the Blow be faster, far more accurate but also harder punching than Ajamu it could be a disaster.

I think Roy can still beat alot of people at the extremly weak Light Heavyweight Division.

I know Roy is severly faded, and most almost definitly lose to Joe if they fought today, and would probably get stopped.
What i ment was against Prince Roy wasnt all over the place or severly hurt or anything close that could be construed as almost knocked out.
BUT, if Roy stays at Light Heavy, he may be able to capatilize on a weak division.

Alot but not the ones that matter.........I think Woods would take him now,Tarver still would take him,Adamek would beat him...If Hopkins fought again at that weight would stop him IMO..........I don't know I am no Roy hater so to speak but he just does not impress me anymore and don't see why he should carry on when he clearly can't compete at the top level anymore.

He was one of the most powerful supermiddleweights ever, not to mention his incredible speed and athleticism.
I actually meant the slight Fave if were 5 years ago.. And my point is JC could match RJJ in skill and is prolly tougher.. tell ya what though.. I wouldn't put my money on it.. Suffice to say it would a barn burner and the real winners would have been us FANS..

I'm in the middle... I think Raesaad overexaggerated to say he was nearly knocked out, but he was certainly (IMO) wobbled, if only for a second. And more significantly, he took several flush shots which the prime Roy wouldn't have.

I also disagree that he could compete at L/H top level, or near it. Knowing what Monson did to him first time around, I dread to think what a second meeting would bring, even though Monson has also faded slightly...

                Roys skills far surpass Joe's.

Adamek, Eredi, Woods and Dawson arent great fighters.
                  Roy still has a shot.

first off..its been noted and most of the veteran boxing scenes know it..that i know boxing more then just about all of you..im always right in my predictions and KFOOTBALL and others can agree with that..lets have a closer look at some facts

prior to roy moving up to heavyweight he was agile, fast, light footed, quick handed boxer..sence losing the 30 pounds of muscle..he seems slower,(but not super slow)and tired and not light footed anymore..calzaghe last fight was jeff lacy (low budget iran barkley)lacy has no stamia cant really box but he has discent power..he's very similar to prince adi ajmui and that would be a good fight @ 175 believe..calzaghe is very similar to clinton woods but minus the aggresiveness..even still because it hasnt been proven yet i can see somebody overpowering roughing up roy jones but i dont see calzaghe outboxing him and roughing up isnt calzaghe's forte
