Calzaghe would obviously be heavily favored, but if Roy comes back with one great preformance he could still have a chance to decision Joe.

    Prime Roy works Joe C.
    No question.

Don OmEGGa told me there was "nothing" in RJJ's fight with Ajamu (not even the first minute of the fight, apparently) to suggest that RJJ was a spent force.

I think it's a case of denial, people don't want to admit their heroes have gone, kind of like how people still believed Tyson could win the titles again. And I LOVE Tyson.

EXACTLY. But I was a "hater", apparently. The poor bastard hyperventilated.

Ajamu can't punch, he doesn't know how and doesn't have the power.

Can you imagine a prime Blow taking on the RJJ that turned up for Ajamu? He'd slap Roy so hard he'd knock Super_Lightweight's ***** out of his mouth.

No doubt RJJ was a Great Fighter.. and he might have a GREAt performance left in him.. The thing is JC is an Unknown in a lot of places.. so he is seriously underated.. If you have not seen any of his fights except the Lacy fight.. I suggest you do what you can to see some... If you are NOT impressed I would question your sanity.. Being a North American Living in the UK I have seen Plenty of both guys fights.. A few things I notice about both guys.. RJJ dont like being hit... JC enoys it.. it embarreses him and pisses him off and then the fight is usually over..Both are fast and both are skilled .. I think in the end mental fortidude would be the difference.. And I have to give that edge to JC and its the only reason I say a SLIGHT edge to JC..

I think you have to consider that Roy is an outside fighter, while Joe is an inside fighter.
Roy could keep his distance and make the fight relativly competitive.

OK well he did not almost KO him but yes he was hurt and stunned if I remember correctly and looked as though he was thinking "oh **** what have I gotten into" until he realized that was it and the Prince was not going to do anything else the rest of the fight........Roy winning that fight means about as much as Holyfield beating fat-ass bates.........NOTHING they are both done and should retire ASAP>

Right now Joe has more than a slight edge.
Prime v Prime, Roy would work Joe.
He was one of the most powerful supermiddleweights ever, not to mention his incredible speed and athleticism.
