A fighter like Klitchsko would kill him. He is big enough to not be completely pushed around and has the boxing ability and power to dominate him. Valuev is just a big slow ogar that doesn't have impressive power for his size. Klitchsko would wear him out.
Nikolay Valuev - The next big thing!

Yeah true. I think I recall Tyson saying himself; that he doesn't have it in him anymore -- and yes, getting a bit long in the tooth doesn't help. Plus his brain is messed up from being locked up. It's hard to make a comeback after 5 years of being locked up. Age -- his past -- less stamina -- financial problems -- brain problems all contributed imho. However, that all amounts to being tired, so I just left it at that. He wouldn't have been "tired" 10 years ago (or even 5) for lack of all the above reasons. It's a pity about Tyson; a wasted life. He even said it himself. Also Tyson didn't lose to McBride because he was too small, it was because he was too old and had no desire to train anymore. The guy was well, well past his prime. He easily KO'ed bigger and much better men than McBride in his prime.Comment

I really don't think Valuev is slow. For a guy that size, I would expect him to be throwing his arms around like a sloth. But he is quite fast. That's one of the very things that made me latch onto him so quick.. I saw him and thought: "Yeah he's big".. but then I saw that he can throw barrages of blows and in quick succession.. and that if he sees his opponent get tired he throws WHOPPING loop punches with his whole bodyweight behind them.. and extends the punch until he's almost on a 45 degree angle. Man if THAT punch connects, it would be like getting stomped on my a rhino.A fighter like Klitchsko would kill him. He is big enough to not be completely pushed around and has the boxing ability and power to dominate him. Valuev is just a big slow ogar that doesn't have impressive power for his size. Sure does'nt.He is like McCline in that aspect big as **** but not very powerful for their size.Comment
-
Well the difference is that McCline just plain doesn't hit hard at all, while Valuev does. Both are unimpressive punchers for their size but Valuev is so much bigger and yeah, P4P a slightly harder puncher, so it translates to him having a big punch. I've never seen McBride throw a punch like the right hand Valuev threw in the 11th. That was pretty explosive, more so than anything I've seen from McBride.
Whether it's impressive or not for his size is not what's important to him winning fights. What is, is that he can hurt the opponent with his punches, and he can.Comment

Klitchsko?
From what I can see here, all he did was wear "himself" out and then when he was out of breath he got punched all over the ring like a little girl until he fell flat on his face and had to be saved by the ref.
He couldn't knock granny off a piss-pot. If he can't wear down a pygmy, how on earth is he going to wear down Valuev?Comment
-
Brewster is certainly not a pygmy, I would give him a good chance of beating Valuev himself.
Also, Wlad is the best heavyweight out there period. If anyone knocks Valuev out, it's him.Comment

Well, if and when the fight comes I'll put everything I own + loans on Valuev. If he's the best there is, I may as well go put some shorts and boots on myself.
I've been doing some reading about Valuev. It seems that it's not that he wants to fight bums, it's that he hasn't had much of a chance to fight anyone better. He was banned from coming to the U.S. and fined 180,000.00 because he couldn't make it to a fight that was set up around 9/11 because international air travel was restricted. Plus he is loyal to his trainer which causes him to get less fights, plus all the top guys wont fight him.
If you were one of the top U.S. heavyweights would you rather fight someone on home soil for huge money at a big highly publicized fight or would you rather go to Germany and fight some neutral guy in some fight that no one really knows about for a fraction of the money?
One of Valuev problems is that he has been highly restricted. I think he'll finally get up. It's not that he can't beat the bigger guys or that he just wants to fight bums or that he WONT fight them. He hasn't had the chance.
Valuev is a working boxer who has accepted every fight put in front of him. He hasn't picked and chosen. He has been in Australia, Japan, Germany and the U.S. -- If he's offered a fight he just steps up and he is undefeated.Comment

the bigger they are the harder they fall thats what i say not what i think.
the guy got a body to fight but not a haert to fight. lets see what happend
once he face some one like ALI or ME. it takes a wight to bring a body down,
it takes a haert to fight. we will see i mean we be waiting.
