Nikolay Valuev - The next big thing!

Welcome to the boards..........With that said you are crazy he will be beaten soon and has already been beaten if not for horrendus scoring.Many say larry Donald and John Ruiz deserved the win when they fought him.Wlad,Peter,Brewster,Brock just to name a few would beat him IMO.

Well, not that I am any boxing guru or anything. All I know is that I saw him on CNN a few days ago he's fighting someone named Barrett or something right? So I looked him up on youtube and man he is HUGE! He wouldn't even have to know how to box -- he's just so tall -- all he has to do is swing his arms. He's pretty quick too. I watched about 5 of his fights on youtube, and for a big guy he can really get stuck into people. Anyways -- does anyone know.. is he going to start fighting in the U.S.? For the heavyweight championship -- The same title Mike Tyson had?

By the way, Mike Tyson is finished. Like I said, I'm not a boxing guru -- but I saw that last fight of Tyson (he fought that other big guy.. what's his name?).. I think Valuev would knock Tyson silly, because he's even bigger than that guy Tyson fought. Even when Tyson was in his prime, I don't think he would be Valuev. No one will beat Valuev. Look at the head on him! Looks like it's made from BRICK!

Welcome to the boards m1star76....In true boxing scene fashion..it's time for a beginners ass whoopin'....Valuev is a cyclops with 2 eyes...he will get KO'ed by any of the top 5 guys...he is slow, methodical, predictable and does not have any more arsenal than a 1-2 and that combo will never unify the heavyweight division...he had better learn to box...in a hurry...or he will be gone as fast as he came...to my russian friend Nickoli...good night...the party is over...unless of course you continue to fight guys 2 feet shorter and 100 lbs lighter...as long as Nickoli continues to be protected from real boxers...he should do well...remember it's onlty his size...not his skills that have gotten him this far...and soft opponents...he blows...the end

Well, hmm.. maybe I should start taking bets

I just can't see how anyone can beat him. These 5 guys you're talking of -- who are they and how tall are they? Even if they're 6' -- I think it would be hard to beat a guy 7' -- and then you have to find a 6' boxer that can "fight".. there are many boxers that are like 5'8 maybe 5'10 that can smash 6' boxers all over the ring -- but those 5'8-5'10 boxers wont beat Valuev because he's just too tall and heavy.

I think that ANY boxer to beat him would have to be at LEAST 6' and he'd have to be a 6' boxer than can smash another 6' boxer all over the ring. Anyway, I am going for Valuev when he fights. I don't know who he's fighting, but I heard something about Don King and I think he's going to make it to the top.

The next big thing? he was big to begin with mate. it reminds me of Primo Carnera vs. his sparring partner "corn" griffin who madehim look very foolish. even though carnera didnt know how to box and valuez does im just tryin to state the if you have a smart boxer that is hungry then the taller, bigger man can be made to look foolish

Nah -- I'm convinced. No one will be beating him. He's going straight to the top. I don't care how hungry or smart the 5'+ 6' boxers are.
