corrales also fights way better opposition
in the past five years, gatti has fought oscar de la hoya, micky ward three times, floyd mayweather, and carlos baldomir.

in the past five years, corrales has fought mayweather, casamayor twice (soon to be three times), frietas, and castillo twice.

whos the better comepetition is anyone's judge, but thats beside the point.

chico will never ever be arturo gatti's replacement.

lol @ the comparison of competition. there is none.

micky "i got nearly shut out by a green zab judah" ward??

gatti has fought 3 guys who were top 3 or so in their divisions (and got his ass handed to him every time).

all the guys u named that corrales fought were either champions or ranked as a top 3 contender in their divisions. that's 6 fights, about to be 7. that's six consecutive fights against champions or top contenders.

there's plenty of exciting fighters out there, guys who recently have been more exciting than gatti.

gatti's replacement is already out there.

yes, morales already replaced gatti as the most exciting fighter years ago. he's been more exciting since 2000.

now manny is probably the most exciting.
