    Does Peter have any skills?

If that had been Klitschko instead of Peter in the ring with Toney, that fight would have ended early. You can see the video trailer, Toney left himself wide open and took a needless hit. Klitschko would have followed it with a lefthook and there is no chance Toney would have been able to hold himself up with the ropes.

As a matter of fact Toney's illegal defensive tactics are probably a function of old age. The old saying is weave in, roll out. But if you look closely at the fight you will see Toney weaving out and leaving himself vulnerable. He got away with it because Peter is too inept to exploit these opportunities.

There's a reason why Freddie Roach brought up 'rabbit-punches' in press conferences before this fight happened...

I don't really like toney that much.

But you have to give the guy his props. I mean, we can sit here and say, "Look how open he leaves himself"

I think everyone who has ever fought him always says that, but they find it much different once they get in the ring and find out how hard it is to actually hit him.

As for Peter, they really need to stop allowing him to rabbit punch, he is constantly hitting people behind the ear and refs are allowing it to happen. No way that fight was even close, I had toney 116-111. I think Peter only landed the 1 good shot when he had Toney holding the rope.

At the end of the fight as out of shape as toney was, he was jogging into each round, had snap in his jab, and Peter was bleeding from his nose and mouth and Toney didn't have a mark.

To think that every single punch in this fight was legal is naive and close minded. If you have not watched any of Peter's other fights, then please do not have an opinion on this subject. Peter PURPOSLEY hits behind the head and it is obvious in this fight as well as all his other ones.

I will definitely agree that not all of the punches were illegal. There were times where Toney turned his head so much that the punch was in the back of the head. That IS legal but lots of punches went right to the back of the head in an illegal fashion.

I agree, Mishra, and I don't see a problem with that devastating right in Borikua's video. Toney was half turned and Peter could not help but to land just behind the ear.

Another thing I notice in alot of Peter's fights is that he will hold his opponents neck (basically choking them) sometimes and then just punch them in the face. Anybody else notice this.

He turned his back, he bobed his head below his opponent's waistline, and he took his eyes off his opponent. It was not Sam Peter who committed a foul it was James Toney.
                    Toney is overrated.

                      Well put, I agree.
