True, but those same people are the one's who have inducted people like Barry McGuigan, and lesser fighters, into the HOF. On that basis alone Calzaghe deserves to be in there.

Why? A lot of Calzaghe's fans are "homers". Let's assume that they are blinded by patriotic pride or anti-american feelings. Should we not mention it because you might get offended?

THIS is very true. I dont think he's made it yet but that is a very valid point. All sorts of assclowns get in that Calzaghe is clearly better than.

I agree from that standpoint exclusively.

Exactly the same argument, numbers speak for themselves.
Calzaghe will make HOF. But you're an idiot if you compare Calzaghe to Roy's accomplishment. I took out Toney and Hopkins off Roy's list and you consider his competition mediocre. If ROy Jones the first one to knock out both Hill and Griffin, TKO Woods, beat Tarver, Gonzalez, Ruiz, Reggie Johnson and you consider that's mediocre. WHat about Calzaghe. ALl you do is attack Roy's accomplishemtn like he never beat the MAN. **** Calzaghe never beaten the MAN. ANybody that knows boxing would not even dare to compare Calzaghe to ROy.

Jones has never beaten 'The Man' in a division.

He beat Thomas Tate (who?) for the Middleweight title.

Shortly moving up to SMW to beat James Toney, the man who regarded himself as 'the man' in the division, but in reality, he himself was unproven.

He stayed there for a couple of years, beat mediocre competition (not necessarily his fault).

He then moved up to the only division he can truly say he was the man at (arguably, nobody's forgetting Dariusz Michalczewski) but funnily enough, only as Tiozzo was moving up to Cruiser, coincidence? possibly. Lost by DQ to Montell Griffin, beat upon more mediocre competition, moved up to beat the weakest heavyweight champion. (Why not Lennox, Roy?)

That's where his story ends, he lost twice to Tarver, only twice on the scorecards, and got KO'd by Glen Johnson, both of whom were embarressed by Hopkins, which to me, taints the latter of Jones' career.

Have you ever heard of style makes fights? so what that hopkins beat tarver and jones couldn't. Then i guess baldomir has a better career then oscar cause baldo beat the man who beat the man. For you to compare calazgue opponants to roy jones opponents is insulting. Jones beat way better fighters then calzague opponents. Jones two big wins was against a prime hopkins and back then the best fighter in the supermiddleweight in toney. Calazgue best win was against 1 demensional lacy and thats it. So like i said to compare calzague opponents to jones opponents is insulting.

Calzaghe is the longest reigning champion in the SMW division, he is the man.

And read back, I've said several times Roys accomplishments surpass Calzaghe's, but the opponents in the second half of his career DO NOT.

                      ****ing hell.
