Jones beat 16 world champs and 15 of them he made them look ordinary including Toney and Hopkins. Calzaghe neven beaten any great fighter. Roy Jones was the man, no. 1 on every p4p list on his prime. His losses came past his prime. CAlzaghe is 34 now, not a single great fighter in his list. -
Ok, so the last 'great' fighter he fought was in 1994.Originally posted by daggerdeuxJones beat 16 world champs and 15 of them he made them look ordinary including Toney and Hopkins. That's 10 years (Over half of his career) of mediocre competition.Comment

Of course.
As you're British "defenses" is incorrect, it should be "defences"

that depends who you ask. it is not at all unanimous that Roy is one of the greatest ever. Far from it.Originally posted by Shanus16Regardless, just look at the amount of defenses, and how much he's capable of.
Roy Jones is regarded as a future all-time P4P right.. for doing what?
Exactly the same argument, numbers speak for themselves.Comment

Mediocre competition? Beating Tarver, Woods, Gonzales, Johnson, Griffin, Virgil Hill, Sosa is more then what Calzaghe done at this point. If that's mediocreOriginally posted by Shanus16Ok, so the last 'great' fighter he fought was in 1994.

Roys accomplishments surpass Calzaghes, whether he fought the man or not, he was still champ at multiple weight divisions, but not to the point where he deserves to be in the HOF and Calzaghe doesn't.
Calzaghe has been the 'man to beat' at SMW for a long time.
It takes this back to the whole unified and defending champion vs multiple division champion.Comment
