Dear Joe Calzaghe: Stop living off of Lacy

It was not a huge win by any means. It was an impressive performance in that he dominated a guy most people figured would beat him. In retrospect, Lacy was not nearly as good as Showtime made him out to be. Wright's domination of Trinidad was twice as impressive because Trinidad has an impressive history. Lacy's biggest win was Scott Pemberton/Omar Sheika/Robin Reid. Take your pick. None of them are great wins. Calzaghe and his fans can't go a day without mentioning the Lacy shut-out as though it even ranks up there with Mayweather's domination of Gatti. Newsflash: it doesn't. Fight the winner of Kessler-Beyer, who, without a doubt, will be a more proven fighter than Lacy was.

So I guess on that note, Trinidad wasn't himself for the Hopkins or Wright fights. And I know for a fact Corrales wasn't himself the night of the Mayweather fight.

I will tell you why Tito's loss to Winky was overrated:
Tito, despite knocking out Mayorga, didn't look like he was the same fighter: his balance was off, his punches weren't as sharp, and his power didn't seem like it was what it used to be...I don't know if that has to do with rust, the balance, or whatever.
Winky uses puffy gloves that cover his entire head...the gloves should be illegal...Reyes gloves should be used...

For Joe vs Jeff: agree, Jeff was overrated...good power, great chin and heart, but little skill...the only time it is truly impressive to beat someone that has a great chin and has great power is if the guy is named George Foreman, and Jeff is no George.

I'd argue it was more impressive than Mayweather's stoppage of Gatti. Gatti was totally shot when he fought Mayweather.

Are you some sort of ******??? Gatti is a one-dimensional slugger who has lost to every half decent fighter he has faced.Gatti was exposed by de la hoya long before he even thought about fighting floyd.
