But can we actually consider it a robbery in a way due to that looong count?
Same goes for Brewster-Krasniqi for instance - Lamon won, but what if he had lost that fight, it would have been a robbery, wouldn't it?
alot of fighters wait untill 9 to get up by the looks of him he could have got up much earlier if nessarcary

Douglass would have gotten up, regardless.

Douglas never had the determination to be good let a lone great. That night the gods smiled upon him in a strange way. He had the skills. Buster Douglas could fight when he wanted to. That night he had somthing else. His mother had recently passed and I would think that all of the anger and emotions were taken into the ring to make him shine that night. The ref may have counted a little slower for his knock down than Tysons, But why call it an robbery? Tyson in theory shouldn't have been in the ring with the guy past 4 rnds. The robbery happened when what ever took place that took fire out of Mike Tyson. And I'm guessing he robbed himself.

The count to Douglas wasn't slow, it was late. The referee started his own count rather than looking to the ringside timekeeper who'd already started counting. Douglas got up by the referee’s count, which is all you can ask him to do. It doesn’t taint his victory at all for me, though I can see the other side.

                shady

This is what I want to know!

At 42:1 odds, what the hell was Tyson's cornerman whispering to him in his ear between rounds after giving him instructions out loud in front of the camera. Tyson's cornerman would give him instructions and then lean over and whisper something in his ear!

I think the Tyson vs. Douglas match was a little fishy! Buster looked awesome! Too awesome, and Tyson looked like he wasn't even trying!

Yeah, Tyson accidenty hit him with an uppercut, and lucky for them with the ODDS, that Buster got back up to fight..(or, I mean spar on).

King made up a big hissy fit after the fight to take everyones attention off of what just happened and cried LONG COUNT!

To me, I think they all went over there to take the japanese money and Tyson and Douglas sparred for weeks and months before to get it somewhat close! (just my opinion)

It's not that hard to spar in front of a crowd, and that explains why one guy looked dominate and the other looked like he never tried. Tyson just walked in ate punches all night.

Whats a puffy eye and and a loss with them kinda odds? Besides, everyone was getting sick of seeing Tyson knock out stiffs at that point and was ready for somethin new to happen in the heavyweight division!

Oh, and Tyson wallering around on the floor with his mouth piece??? Come on, the japanese ate that stuff up and everyone knows it!

Just my opinion and thoughts that went through my head when I witnessed the fight when it came on tv live!

Go back and watch the fight with this in mind, you'll see!

No evidence, just my crazy take on the fight! It was such a shock to me as it happened, that was the only thing going through my mind at the time.

Not sure if there is a difference. Douglas' performance that night was awesome, and so on that one night I don't think it would be a stretch to say he was awesome boxer.

He boxed like he was on some hyper mix of coke and ice. Reflexes were so sharp, punches were pinpoint accurate, he had no fear and he felt no pain. It was a very special performance for him or for anyone. So maybe on that one night he was the greatest boxer ever?
