Barrera of Mexico dull, needs Pinoy heart

Barrera was going through alot when he fought Manny last time out with the problems leaked about some plate in his head then he problems at training camp plus he was going through some issues with his ex wife so as a boxer myself I know things like that do change your focus and Saturday I seen a focused Barrera that wouldnt leave that ring without his belt and this wont change when he is matched against Manny again, Barrera will go out on a high

if it was a close loss to pac, then i would prob have taken that to consideration but the fact that he was dominated, humiliated and just plain made to quit. then i'd have to think those are just ****** excuses no better than the sock excuse for the jmm-pac fight.

Aight, what I'm reading is excuses that his handlers were promoting and an assessment based on his performance against a lesser fighter. His performance the second time around against Juarez did nothing to dispell my belief that Pacquiao has his number. If anyting, it reinforced it. It showed that Barrera needs to stay on his bicycle and jab cuz he can't slug it out like he used to.

It is a disgrace when people question a legend such as Barrera. It has been brought up on other threads on this forum but Barrera will face Pacquiao again IMO, and what people have written on this forum will look even more ridiculous when that does happen. True, it will have taken a while when the rematch does eventually happen, but it will have been worth it, i am convinced about that.

I do think this article is just nuthugging bull****, something that can only be expected of limited writers who only know Manny Pacquiao. It's unfortunate, but most Filipino writers never heard of Barrera or Morales before Pacquiao ran through them. This article, and others like it, are a disgrace to legitimate Filipino press. Sadly, you can see this in the newspapers as well. But in all fairness, there are alot of articles I read in spanish newspapers that nuthug spanish fighters also. It's both sides really.

As for Superman, I'm very interested in hearing why Pacquiao is going to lose to Barrera. I didn't see anything Saturday to suggest it, maybe you saw something I missed.

I am not a Morales fan, I am more of a Barerra fan, but I don't beleive Pac ran through him. I mean I will admit in the second fight Pac did what no one else has been able to do in knocking him out, but if I recall correctly Morales clearly beat Pac in there first fight. i am not hating because I actually like Manny. I do think that of Pac and Barerrea fought again it would be a much better fight. MAB alwasy makes adjustments and comes back better than before. I make no excuses and in the first fight Manny was the better guy on that night. Also, like I said I ma not a Morales fan, but if people think that he is just gonna lay down and get killed I think people should think again. A fighter the caliber of Morales can never be counted out, and if Manny comes into this fight thinking it is gonna be an easy win he may get surprised at what happens. I think it is gonna be a good fight, and you never know what is ginna happen. All I am saying is people better not count Morales out.

I believe the article was posted in a local newspaper in the Philippines, hence it caters to the Filipino audience in general.

I understand why it raised eyebrows here, and others are quite sensitive if the context was taken seriously.
