  • A question for everyone whinng about the fight MAB fought

Let's say you're in a bar and you look a little too hard at some chick's ass. her b/f nuts up and takes you outside.

You're younger and stronger, so you think to yourself, "No problem, I'll take this old guy down!"

You swing and miss, he peppers you a few shots, sidesteps, and does it continually.
When you do land a few shots, they have no effect on him. He keeps backing up, stepping in, peppering you, stepping around you, peppering you again. He just continually peppers you. He closes your right eye. you haven't landed anything significant at all.

When the police show up and the fight breaks up, didn't you still just get your ass kicked?

Exactly man. All the little kids that are whining about Barrera's style this fight are crybabies. Barrera is a winner and he knows how to win. It looked ugly, but he got the decision. Not every fighter can win and look pleasing with a fight of the year every time out.

Does everyone here forget that Barrera has given us COUNTLESS great fights.

nobody is complaining about how he won. u do what u have to do, i think everyone understands that. but i pick and choose my PPV events, and considering the enormous amount of hype that surrounded this fight, this was a huge let down.

U spend 50 bucks to enjoy urself, not watch a guy doing what he has to do to win.

u cant complain about Barrera did, but everyone has every right to come on here and let some steam go.

not everyone has their mommy's and daddy's paying for the fights for them.

i spent a good portion of my pay check on this and i didnt like what i got

Thank you so much for that, I mean it, some ppl don't understand the meaning of boxing and brawling.

i agree (even though i watched it for almost free)
of course barrera won the fight and clearly is the better boxer,
but it was a let down.
not exactly "whining" about his style,
i'm just saying if he keeps fightin like that, i wouldn't watch him fight again. honestly it was way worse than watchin winky (actually, winky was pretty exciting against mosley and taylor).
and it wasn't just a small let down, it was huge one...

nobody would wanna pay $45 to watch a boxing clinique where a guy jabs moves jabs moves, while the other guy cant effectively close the gap...

So what you wanted was Barerra to fight in a losing style so you could feel like you got your money's worth? He should have limited his future possibilities so you wouldn't feel ripped off?

See, this sport is called "boxing", which is what he did. It's also called "prize fighting". Didn't he keep his eye on the prize, and do what he needed to keep it?

If all you want is hard punches, brawling and blood, UFC just might be for you.

I just noticed someone changed my user title. Thanks!! If you were trying to get me upset, you're going to have to try much harder than a weak attempt at an insult on a message board

I was getting tired of the old one anyway.

again. nobody is blaming him for doing what he had to do to win. the world was just expecting a better fight, and for 50 bucks, it clearly wasnt worth it to the people who paid the full price to watch!
