It is extremely unfair to limit the bigger man's strength advantage by breaking these guys up too early. If you let the smaller man get away without having to deal with the bigger man's extra weight and strength, it gives him an unfair advantage. In boxing, you should be punished for your lack of size, not rewarded, else what message does this send out to the public?
By limiting fighters in this way, you make it less of a REAL FIGHT. Boxing is not a REAL FIGHT as it is, we don't need to make matters worse.
Let the big guys clinch away.
LMAO! Funny ****.
You're into the wrong sport dude, shift to sumo wrestling. That's the sport where clinching and hugging is very much legal.

And while we're at it we should rename the best sport in the world 'Clinching!' Come on mate, are you really serious or are you just posting something like that to p*ss people off??? Fighters are allowed to clinch for exactly the right amount of time. Maybe the idea of two sweaty fighters in a clinch for the majority of twelve rounds does it for you but it certainly doesn't do it for me. As already mentioned, think about the Lewis - Akinwande fight. Enough said IMO.
The rules of boxing are there not only for the safety of the fighters but also to make the fights more exciting. Boxing is, above everything else, entertainment. Allowing excessive clinching detracts from that. Nobody wants to pay $500 for a front row ticket to see two guys hugging.
