Will that is BS if he did, how can anyone be awarded a round without a punch, that doesn't make any sense.

When it comes to pure skills, I think PBF, Leonard and Whitaker are the best I've seen.

James Toney also had great skills, but Toney never used his legs.

Yea Lampley is a big Delahoya nut-hugger. I remember the second Mosley fight, he was also riding Oscar's ****.

Yup, round 3. I read an article a long time ago written by one of the sports writers there that day. Willie had actually told three of them that he would win a round without throwing a punch; not only that, he also told them it would be round 3 and that they should watch for it. Nobody else in the crowd knew, neither did the judges. After the fight, the sports writer checked the official judges scorecards and, just as Pep had predicted, they all gave him the round, 10-9.

The crowd was so into the fight and so excited to see Willie duck, bob, weave, and spin that not one person who was asked noticed that Willie didn't bother throwing a punch in that round.

That, my friends, is spine-chilling skill.

It's not BS. If the other guy did not land a punch either, who would you give the round to?

Also, just because they're the best you've ever seen doesn't mean they're the most skilled boxers ever. I'm sure there are thousands you've never seen fight.

Here is a quote from East$ideB0xing:

Pep would make a prediction to rival any later made by Muhammed Ali; he would win a round without throwing a single punch.

Not only that, but he would tell them up-front just which round to watch for it; round number three. Bert Sugar said of the audacious feat: "Pep tipped off a few friendly sportswriters that he would not throw a punch in anger in the third round.... Pep moved; Pep switched to southpaw, mocking Graves; Pep danced; Pep weaved; Pep spun Graves around and around again; Pep gave head feints, shoulder feints, foot feints, and feint feints. But Pep never landed a punch." The crowd at ringside sat in spellbound awe as Pep put on perhaps the greatest three minute demonstration on the art of boxing ever witnessed. In just 180 seconds he joined the ranks of those who had done some legendary act to fulfill a fearless prediction; the called-shot of Babe Ruth, the "We're gonna win, I guarantee it!" bravado of Joe Namath, and "They all will fall, in the round I call" predictions of Ali.Sportswriter Don Riley, who was ringside and forewarned of Pep's plan for the third round, said, "It was an amazing display of defensive boxing skill so adroit, so cunning, so subtle that the roaring crowd did not notice Pep's tactics were completely without offense. He made Jim Corbett's agility look like a broken down locomotive. He made even Sugar Ray Robinson's fluidity look like cement hardening. Never has boxing seen such perfection!" He had fought the round without throwing a punch, but had he won it? Was his display so mesmerizing that even the keen eyed judges were beguiled? Pep knocked Graves down 9 times, ending the fight in the 8th round via TKO, but it wasn't the victory the ringside press were excited about; it was the score cards of the judges. When the cards were presented, there it was in black and white; Willie Pep had won the third round, the punchless round, on all three cards. The Will o' the Wisp had given boxing another legendary moment.

I've seen every damn fighter possible, I just think Leonard and PBF are the most skilled fighters I've ever seen, after that is Whitaker and Robinson.

The only reason I don't put Whiatker with Leonard and PBF is he didn't have much of a power.

But you fail to mention Wilfredo Rivera was robbed twice against Whitiker. But im sure you ain't ever seen Rivera v. Whitiker 1 or II. And Whitiker was already saying he lost the fight in the corner against Delahoya, no way Delahoya lost. Ramierez the 1st one all i've heard is that Whitiker refused to throw punchs and was back pedaling all night long. If Whitiker felt he was robbed against Chavez, then Whitiker should have granted Chavez the rematch he wanted with Whitiker to fight again and stop the bs of a robery.
